Nowadays, it’s really hard to pinpoint what Filipino music is, because if you really research to the old Filipino sound, it’s the kulintangs. It sounds old. But that’s original Filipino music. But nowadays everybody influences everybody. You can be Asian but you can have a Western influence when it comes to songwriting. I hope that there’s a Filipino sound that can be recognized worldwide. But if they keep on doing to this revival shit, shit, nothing’s gonna happen, man.
